VP Events, Inc. was featured in the April issue of Special Events Magazine!
With a tag line of “We Don’t Keep Up With Trends, We Create Them”, brides and grooms look to the team at VP Events, Inc. for what’s new! And, they know that their personal style will be the foundation for their wedding, taking traditions and translating them into something that is fresh and unique! VP Events, Inc. will be featured in the April issue of Special Events Magazine! The issue will focus on personalizing weddings! Here are some ideas to make your wedding unique:
Colors: We are seeing bright colors for the summer and fall! One combination we are seeing much of is dark reds and pinks, complimented with a pistachio or lime green. Also on the horizon is black and white, accented with green. For summer, pink and turquoise – not as a combination, are solid choices! We also enjoy seeing a metal as one of the wedding tones, and this summer and fall, gold seems to be making a comeback!
Table Side: Everyone always wants to do something unique for their reception. Table side service is a great touch! Options include salads, desserts or coffee service!
Wine Pairing: This is going to continue to be important for 2008. Even if your guests are not wine experts, this makes such a statement! If you don’t want to do it for your reception, consider it for your cocktail hour, by hosting a station with pre-set small pouring to accompany the hors deourves. Simple signage is important for this!
Maître di: As opposed to traditional escort cards, consider a Maître di to accompany guests to their table! Depending on your guest count, you may need more than one! This is such an elegant touch!
Mixologists: Remember the movie “Cocktail”? A good bartender is always appreciated, but a mixologist is both entertaining as well as a provider of unique cocktails. Signature cocktails will continue to be highly utilized, but this takes it to a whole new level!
Presentation: Work with your caterer to create art with your hors deourves and wedding meal. Most major hotel properties and off-premise caterers want to have the opportunity to step-out-of-the box and do something really unique! You can also do cocktail pairings with hors deourves, served in interesting and unique glassware!
